Course Description:

 Vehicle wheel alignment units reflects the role of individuals who perform a wheel alignment on light or heavy vehicles in the automotive retail. It is designed for individuals who want to work in an automotive tyre servicing and wheel assembly business.

Pre Requisite:

To enroll in this skill set, you must already enroll in or have completed one of the following programs:

AUR21926 Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology, or
AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology,
AUR32518 Certificate III in Automotive Underbody Technology, or an equivalent qualification.

Additionally, the following units must have completed as part of the mentioned programs.

  • AURLTJ011: Select light vehicle tyres and wheels for specific applications.
  • AURLTJ002: Remove, inspect, repair, and refit light vehicle TTD004 and tubes.
  • AURLTJ013: Remove, inspect, and refit light vehicle wheel and tyre assemblies.
  • AURTTJ011 Balance wheels and tyres

Entry requirements:

Candidates being employed in an automotive workshop and having access to workplace    observation by a supervisor, have a Certificate III or II in trade qualification in automotive.

Have one or more years of experience in Automotive industry and current industry knowledge and skills using wheel alignment tools and equipment
