Get the nationally recognised training required to apply for a WA High Risk Work Licence to operate a forklift truck. This course covers the LF class forklift licence, commonly known as the counterbalance forklift, and is recognised Australia-wide once granted.
Training includes planning the task, pre-start checks, hazard identification, reading the data plate, assessing load weight and positioning, safe operation, moving and placing loads, and correct parking and shutdown procedures. Assessment is completed to the national high risk work licensing standard.
On successful completion, students receive a Statement of Attainment and Notice of Assessment. We process your WorkSafe licence application, pay the licence fee and post the application on your behalf, making the process as simple as possible. To apply, students must be 18 or over and provide proof of ID, a compliant photograph and supporting documents.
WorkSafe’s current new licence fee is $92, and forklift high risk work licences are valid for 5 years. After assessment, eligible students can work using their Notice of Assessment while their licence application is being processed, provided it is lodged within the required timeframe.
